Australian Experience by Albane Zombralis

The stay with my host family was very enriching.  Indeed, I was able to get to know the Australian culture, whether culinarily or historically.  They made me discover the paradisiac islands of Brisbane.  I could observe all kinds of wild animals there, like kangaroos, koalas or even a lace monitor lizard. Australian education is also very different from French education.  Their schedules run from 8:20 a.m. to 3:20 p.m., with a 20-minute break in the morning.  In addition, students are very free during lessons: they can listen to music, chat and even leave in the middle of the lesson.  The students of St Margarets are dispersed into 8 houses, which creates a feeling of friendship between the members of the same house.  The organization of different events opposing the houses increases this complicity within the school.  The numerous buildings of the school are very spacious, thus being able to offer to the pupils courses in small classes (15 per class max).  there is a lot of greenery outside, making the moments spent in the establishment more pleasant.
